June 2023 | Novibet delivers the new “Kostas Tsimikas” football stadium to the citizens of Serres

A new 5X5 football pitch, that was built according to the most modern international standards, was delivered yesterday by Novibet and the internationally renowned footballer Kostas Tsimikas to the local community of Serres, as part of the Giant Heart social contribution program.

In a special event organized for this occasion, the Chief Marketing Officer of Novibet, Mr. Christoforos Bozatzidis, the Mayor of Serres Mr. Alexandros Chrysafis and the Ambassador of the Giant Heart program, Kostas Tsimikas, inaugurated the new football pitch. The Municipality of Serres decided to name the pitch after Kostas Tsimikas, to honor this top athlete who originates from the local community.

As part of the inauguration event, apart from the traditional ribbon cutting by the official guests and the unveiling of the football field’s sign, the first friendly football match took place with the participation of children from the city of Serres, which were divided into two teams, that of Kostas Tsimikas and that of the very popular football content creator/ YouTuber Aimilios.

The new football pitch that was built entirely by Novibet in collaboration with Kostas Tsimikas and the Municipality of Serres, which granted the space within the “Omonoia” Sports Park of Serres, is equipped with synthetic turf of FIFA QUALITY standards, so that the citizens of Serres and especially young children can have access to a state-of-the-art sports facility.

Upon the completion of the event, Mr. Christoforos Bozatzides, Chief Marketing Officer of Novibet, stated: “Continuing our mission to give back to our fellow citizens through Novibet’s “Giant Heart” social contribution program while promoting the value of athleticism, we deliver our 11th upgraded sports facility, this time to the local community of Serres. This pitch is of particular importance to us, since it was in Serres that Giant Heart’s Ambassador, Kostas Tsimikas, took his first football steps.

Hence, we want to provide the youth of Serres with a modern athletics infrastructure, a place where they can play, but also where they can carve their own path in the exciting world of football.”

In addition, the top international footballer Kostas Tsimikas, added: “It is a great honor for me that together with Novibet we are delivering this football field to the community of Serres. With this initiative we want to make citizens, and especially young children, embrace sports, offering them a modern space of sports and entertainment, but perhaps also a point of first contact with football for the champions of tomorrow. My message to young people who love football is to never stop chasing their dreams. Starting from a sports facility like this, with love and dedication in what they do and faith in themselves, they can achieve anything they put their mind to!
